imageSusan Gee has completed a 300-hour oncology massage certification  at the Peregrine Institute of Oncology Massage Training and is a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (CMLDT).  She is the owner and CEO of Progressive Massage Therapy www.progressivemassagetherapy.com, specializing in massage for people living with cancer and those with complex medical histories. Susan is a member of Oncology Massage Alliance and has provided free hand and foot massage for those receiving chemo infusion at Baylor-Sammons Cancer Center and Mary Crowley Research Center at Medical City Dallas. Susan's "call" to end-of-life work came early in her massage career, when her sister was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer.  As one of her sister's primary caretakers, Susan had the privilege of adapting massage for a terminally ill family member. 

Susan currently works in private practice, providing massage for people with cancer and other chronic disease.  She worked as an independent contractor for VITAS Innovative Health Care for 5 years providing massage for hospice patients in their homes and facilities.  Her professional memberships include the National Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, The American Massage Therapy Association, the Society for Oncology Massage and the Oncology Massage Alliance.  She has participated as a teaching assistant to Gayle MacDonald (www.medicinehands.com) and is the co-creator of Final Touch Training.

Cindy Spence has been a massage therapist specializing in oncology and hospice care since 1999, after her father-in-law's dying wish for soothing touch inspired her to attend massage school.  A pancreatic cancer survivor since 2005, she believes in the power of choice and pursuit of optimal wellness at all phases of life - in sickness, in health and during the dying process. 

Cindy's training includes a Masters Degree in Public Health and more than 100 hours of medical massage from institutions such as MD Anderson and Sloan-Kettering. She has worked for several hospice agencies in the DFW area, including Seasons, Silverado and VITAS.  She currently works for Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas. 

Co-creator of Final Touch Training, Cindy is a member of Partners In Wellness (www.piw-wellness.com), the Society for Oncology Massage, and the Oncology Massage Alliance. She is author of an educational program titled Comfort Massage Basics; A Training Program for Nurses and CNAs in the Hospice Care Setting.
